About Dr Carly Steyn.

Dr Carly Steyn is an accomplished Organisational Development and Leadership consultant,  international speaker, facilitator, and coach that specialises in wellbeing, employee engagement, stress resilience and burnout prevention and recovery. She is passionate about translating the latest cutting-edge research from the fields of psychology, organisational behaviour and neuroscience into practical strategies that can be used to create extraordinary workplaces where people can thrive.  She has designed and presented a range of executive development programmes and has coached junior, middle and senior managers from a range of sectors including local and provincial government, health, IT, finance and retail. Some of the clients that she has worked with include the City of Cape Town, the Provincial Government Western Cape, the Two Oceans Aquarium, the Human Sciences Research Council, State Street Southern Africa, Terramanzi Environmental Consulting, The Change Consulting Group, Marie Stopes, KAP Industrial Holdings, the University of Stellenbosch Business School, Sanlam Private Wealth and Hammer Live Brands.

Carly also holds appointments as adjunct faculty at the South African College of Applied Psychology and the University of Stellenbosch Business School. She is actively involved in student supervision and various research projects. She has presented her work at local and international conferences and has published in a number of accredited books and journals on a range of issues including stress and burnout, work values and positive psychology. Her work has also been featured in a number popular publications and platforms including Business Day, Finweek Star Workplace, Engineering News, HR Works, Thought Thursdays, Eikestadnuus and  Leader.co.za.

Carly completed her PhD in Organisational Behaviour and has a coaching qualification from the University of Stellenbosch. As a certified coach, she is a member affiliate of the Institute of Coaching at Mclean, an Affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
